Since May 2008 Acumen Construction Services have been an integral part of the Costain team on the various projects and phases at Gatwick Airport. This involvement is set to continue through 2010 and beyond.

Originally instructed by Costain to verify the EC Harris cost plan being put forward for the North Terminal Extension (following a very successful exercise at Wembley), Acumen became the complete estimating discipline for Costain at Gatwick, managing and working very closely with all parties involved on the following individual projects.

• North Terminal ‘Northway’ & Enabling Works £10million
• North Terminal Baggage £22million
• South Terminal Forecourt £30million
• South Terminal Baggage £26million

Form basic cost plans, ‘optioneering’, value engineering through to SMM7 Bills of Quantities and full tender submissions for each of the phases Acumen have very much enjoyed achieving successful results from the challenges these projects have brought.
